Short Interview with Natalia Karbasova from Burda Bootcamp

1. What is the Burda Bootcamp and what was the idea behind it?

The Burda Bootcamp sees itself as the innovation hub of Hubert Burda Media Holding. We see it as our task to bridge the gap between our media and tech company and the innovations of the start-up scene. We close the gap between the present and the future by creating platforms on which innovative minds can connect. We have firmly established these platforms in the form of two flagship conferences in the start-up calendar and supplement them with weekly Meet-Ups on current topics in our own event space. The flagship conferences of Burda Bootcamp are the regional invite-only format of Startup Day'N'Nite and the international FitTech Summit. The FitTech Summit is Europe's first conference on fitness technology, digital health and lifestyle. 1000+ international participants, 50 speakers and 50 innovative start-ups dive into the FitTech Summit (June 4, 2019) in topics around the future of Fitness&Sport, Health&Wellbeing and Active Nutrition.

At the Pitch Competitions, which are an integral part of our formats, we will give the winning start-ups the opportunity to move into our Co-Working Space in the heart of Munich and benefit from the extensive Burda Netzwerk network.

2. What do you expect from the cooperation with the Global Food Summit?

Nutrition and the future of nutrition merge as part of Active Nutrition with our FitTech Summit. Nutrition and health are essential areas in the fitness market, so a cooperation with the nn provides us with a direct exchange on the topic of future development. Beyond the Burda Bootcamp, food, nutrition and health are points that are anchored in the DNA of Hubert Burda Media. The company always acts according to the principle of "Pursuit of Happiness", and for this objective it is important that basic needs are covered and secured through critical discussion thanks to the Global Food Summit.
